William has to weigh up his adoration for his family, his inheritance, his status, family name and honour against the fact that he cannot face the future without Emily. Karen Howard grew up near the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire, UK and later in the historic market town of Devizes, Wiltshire. With a degree in environmental science and a PhD in environmental chemistry, she has followed a career in science and travelled extensively. She lives in Shropshire with her husband and border collie.
